LearningPlanet Festival 2025

Since its launch in January 2020, the annual LearningPlanet Festival – initiated by the Learning Planet Institute and supported by UNESCO – has been a free, open-to-all event dedicated to celebrating education and lifelong learning, bringing the world together on the occasion of the International Day of Education, 24 January, with hundreds of online and onsite events worldwide.

With over 400 partners, the Festival explores new ways of learning, teaching, researching, and making a positive impact in light of complex societal and environmental challenges. By highlighting the extraordinary diversity of actors and learning territories that are engaged at the local, national and international levels, the Festival nurtures a culture of hope and engagement. This year, among an inspiring diversity of other game-changing topics in the space of education and learning, the Festival’s key themes include Co-designing with youth, Peace Education, Learning ecosystems, and the transformative power of AI.
