📚 A collection of resources for rights-centred, democratic and digitally aware education
How can we move from understanding rights to creating educational environments where rights are actually lived?
The FutureEd Toolkit brings together a collection of resources developed through the FutureEd project – Co-creating a rights-centred education for a sustainable future.
The Toolkit connects Human Rights Education, Democratic Education and Digital Rights awareness, offering different entry points for educators, schools, youth workers, children and young people, and educational communities interested in creating more participatory, inclusive and rights-respecting learning environments.
Developed in cooperation by ALLI asbl, CollectiveUP and EUDEC – European Democratic Education Community, the Toolkit brings together complementary resources designed to support reflection, practical exploration and action in different educational contexts.
📘 Three Guides
The FutureEd Toolkit brings together three complementary Guides, each offering a different entry point into Rights-Centred Education.
“Understanding the Ecosystem of Human Rights”
Developed by ALLI asbl
This guide introduces the foundations of human rights, democratic values and participation, providing a starting point for exploring what rights-centred education means and how rights can inform educational practice.
“Rights-Centred Education & Best Practices from Democratic Education”
Developed by EUDEC – European Democratic Education Community
How can rights move from principles into everyday school life?
This guide explores how Democratic Education practices can support human dignity, participation, self-determined learning, inclusion, shared decision-making and democratic school culture.
It brings together practices and reflections from Democratic Education communities and includes a practical Self-Assessment Form for Teachers and School Communities, helping schools reflect on their current practices and identify opportunities for further development.

Digital Rights Awareness Guide for Children,

How can we help children understand and navigate their rights in an increasingly digital world?
This child-friendly resource uses storytelling and activities to explore digital rights and support children in developing awareness of issues such as privacy, participation, online safety, ethical AI, freedom of expression and digital inclusion.
🌐 Digital Rights Resources Repository
CollectiveUP has also created a Digital Rights Resources Repository, bringing together existing resources that can support children and educators in exploring digital rights, online safety and digital citizenship.
Rather than starting from scratch, the repository offers a curated starting point for discovering resources that are already available and bringing them into educational practice.
