The Council of Europe is launching a new campaign to bring together schools that are actually implementing the democratic competences identified by the Council’s Education for Democratic Citizenship/Human Rights Education project . This would apply to every member school of EUDEC!
Staff of the Wergeland Centre, a Council of Europe supported Centre in Oslo, Norway are asking democratic schools to complete a survey explaining how their schools work and on the basis of the replies some schools will be invited to a conference in Norway in early November 2018. All expenses will be paid for two teachers and three students to attend the conference. It could be an interesting opportunity to show the Council of Europe and Wergeland Centre staff what some fully democratic schools actually look like.
Unfortunately the deadline for return of the survey is rather close.
